About me

We hear about people who "live to eat", but I always "worked to travel." My career was working with ad agencies and involved a great deal of travel visiting clients in different cities and I greedily hoarded air and hotel points to use on holidays.  I even had the opportunity to live in London for a year and jumped from country to country with ease during that wonderful time.

I'm happily married now but in my youth I had a star crossed love life.  Some of my trips were with very nice men while others were with amazing women friends but all included great adventures and much laughter.  

Many of my paintings are about one of the places I have visited and loved.  And, I have written little stories recounting a few memories about each of the places. 

My art is truly abstract in that I do not intentionally paint anything real or specific in it  Sometimes, however, I step back and see something that my subconscious seems to have placed there!  Some symbol or object that can make me laugh at myself for the unconscious connection to the piece.  So when viewers "see" such objects, I never deny them but rather presume we are sharing some unconscious impression.  

I want my paintings to make people happy.  The colors are bright and I often use metallics so you can sense movement as you cross the room.  As I painted I thought about the amazing places I have visited on this planet and I wish for you to get a feeling for them too. I hope you will take a moment to read my stories as you look at the artwork and please...take your time wandering through the gallery.
